Of what size can the cards be?
The generic sizes of playing cards are as follows:
- Poker – 63 x 89 mm (2.5 x 3.5”)
- Bridge – 57 x 89 mm (2.25 x 3.5”)
However, the size need not be restricted to the above and we shall be happy to customise as per your requirement. The maximum size we can go up to is 150 x 150mm (6 x 6”) for endless cut (smooth cutting with no notches). If you do not require an endless cut, the maximum size can be even larger.
How many cards can there be in a deck?
Any number of cards is possible in a deck.
How many images are possible on a deck?
You can have as many images as the cards, on either side.
What's the safe area of images?
Preferably, 5 mm inside the edge of the card. Exceptions can be considered, depending on the artwork, on a case to case basis.
How to prepare artworks for playing cards?
Steps involved:
1) Decide the size of the card
2) Add 3 mm to both, the length and width of the card. This (1.5 mm on each side of the card) will be trimmed during production.
How many colors can be printed on each side?
As many as you wish. Typically, there are 3 or 4 colors on the faces side. On the back, you decide. Both can be customised.
What are the color restrictions for my artwork?
There are no color restrictions. The 4 standard inks are C, M, Y, K (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black or Key color). With a combination of CMYK, most colors can be achieved. Additionally, special colors such as pantone shades or metallic shades (eg. Gold, silver) can also be printed. We request that the precise number and nature of colors be specified at the time of requesting a quote. Our quote would vary depending on the number and nature of colors required.
In what format do I need to provide the artwork?
We would appreciate if artworks are provided in ‘.ai’ format (generated using Adobe Illustrator) as the same is most compatible with our systems. However, where this is not possible, you may provide the artwork generated in the format of your choosing (be it using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Quark Express, etc) and we will find a way to make it workable.
Can you help with designing the artwork?
We would be happy to assist you with your artwork design. For instance, you may send us an existing logo or artwork that you wish to have printed onto playing cards. The process and design charges would depend on the complexity of the image. This will be informed at the time of quoting.

Can I customise playing cards according to my requirement?

What are the parameters of product pricing?
We request you to specify the parameters of the product (i.e. number of colors, quality of paper/ plastic used, delivery location, complexity of artwork, size of cards, number of cards and so on), basis the above information. Since your cards will be customized to your needs, specifications provided by you will determine the price.

What is the average lead time and shipping time?
- Lead time depends on the product parameters. Earliest shipment would be 7 days from date of receipt of art work and purchase order.
- Shipping time would depend on your delivery address. For overseas customers, if transported by air, shipping time is about 8 to 10 days, and if by sea, about 15 to 30 days, depending on your geographical location.
How much does shipping cost and what are my shipping options?
Shipping charges vary by the product quantity you are ordering and by the location to which the product is to be shipped. Delivery via Sea, Air or Express Service are available. For sea shipment please inform us of the destination port, for air shipment please inform us of the destination airport, and for Express delivery please inform us of the detailed address as well as postal code, so that we can confirm the freight charge ASAP.
What is the minimum order quantity?
A minimum order of 250 decks is possible, though 3000 decks would be economically feasible for you and for us. However, should you require a smaller quantity, we encourage you to get in touch with us such that we may work out a mutually beneficial solution.
What thickness/gsm material is available for playing cards?
Paper Playing Cards
We can offer a very wide variety of playing card board stocks so we have access to a very wide variety of boards. However, playing cards and card games are generally made on minimum 10 points to maximum 12 point stock. GSM available is 200, 210, 220, 230, 240, 250, 260, 270, 280, 285, 295, 300, 310, 320 and 330.
Plastic Playing Cards
We have plastic sheets from 0.21 mm to 0.33 mm in stock. However, any customized thickness is possible. Variations in opacity are also possible. We can offer black plastic / transparent plastic / any color base plastic material.
Q: What stock finishes are available?
A: There is no finish which we cannot provide:
1) Casino Finish (American Design Emboss)
2) Casino Finish (European Linen Emboss)
3) Glossy on both sides
4) Matt on both sides
5) Glossy one side and Matt on the other
6)Finish for magic cards is also possible.
What overcoat finishes are available?
All our decks are either water based coated or UV coated, depending on your application and usage. These are specially formulated for every application. Our proprietary coatings will ensure complete satisfaction of the player of the cards. The coatings are also designed to reduce the wear and tear of the cards while shuffling, ensuring optimum slip and finish.
What kind of packing options do you offer?
We can offer plain or printed tuck boxes, plastic cases, vacuum trays, cello wrapping, shrink wrapping, printed display boxes, wooden, leather, artificial leather pouches, with a pad and a pen or pencil. We can also offer metallic boxes. Our shipper cartons are with high bursting factor and according to the specifics of your packing. We have 3, 5, 7 or 9 ply cartons. We ensure an optimum balance of cost and safety for your product.
How will my order be delivered?
We can fulfil your order ex-factory, or have it delivered at your desired location (whether in India or overseas). We already ship to several nations across the globe.
What are the payment terms?
- Payments for orders up to USD 3,000 are to be made through wire transfer, in advance, along with the artwork & purchase order.
- Above USD 3,000, you can open a letter of credit or we can accept 30% advance and balance before shipment
- For small payments (such as provision of samples), you may pay through PayPal (PayPal A/c: contact@bsplayingcards.com)

Can you provide samples?
We will be happy to provide you with samples of a product with specifications similar to your needs. Kindly note that shipping costs are to be borne by you.
